Children of Custom Post Type

  • Is it possible to create a Parent custom post type (CPT) that has children?

    The Parent CPT would have all the taxonomies available to it, but a child CPT would only have a specified few taxonomies.

    For example

    Parent CPT: Vehicle
    Has Taxonomies: Num of Doors, Color, Bed Size

    Child CPT: Truck
    Has Taxonomies: Num of Doors, Color, Bed Size

    Child CPT: Car
    Has Taxonomies: Num of Doors & Color
