• Hi,
I am using Twenty Ten theme on my WP self hosted sites. I have created child themes to customise the design and lay out. I am worrying about CPU usage at the host end as my hosting package is a basic one. I read on some blogs that Child Themes and plugins such as List Category Posts, WP-Reloaded Tables, Related Posts cause more load on CPUs. Is it true?
    Regards

  • A child theme would not cause any more CPU usage than running just the parent theme.
A lot of plugins however could cause CPU usage, especially if there is a lot of database calls.
