I was testing snippets to centre my header/logo etc in my child theme and today started getting some erratic format issues. When I removed the snippets the logo went back to the left, tagline disappeared and menu items wrapped up into 2 lines and moved to top right of header block on every page but ‘home’. After trying a few things the messed up header stopped on 1 other page too but the rest continued. Whenever I logged out of wpress everything was fine again but messed up when I logged back in!

I deactivated all plugins and child theme and everything was ok. Reactivated themes(w3tc,yoast,akismet,contact form7)one by one – everything fine. Reactivated child theme – problems reoccurred.

The only time everything seems ok is if either w3tc OR child is off.

I removed and reinstalled w3tc to no avail hoping default settings might fix problem. I also deleted and reinstalled child using https://www.themesandco.com/extension/customizr-child-theme/

If I add something simple like removing icon from left of title to custom css it works but not through child theme unless I stop w3tc.

Do I need to stop using w3tc or are there special settings that let me use it with customizr?

Sounds to me like you simply need to clear the cache after you have made a change, otherwise you won’t see it.

OK thanks. I didn’t know that was something that needed to be done until now. I’m guessing thats the solution as I haven’t found anyone throughout my searching that has similar conflicts.

    Cheers
