• I am trying to create a child theme for the Twenty Eleven theme. I am finding almost helpful tutorials on how to do it. My question is where can I find this: /wp-content/themes/ ??

I am very new to this and know it is basics, but I’ll come through ??

    Thanks,

    Alon

  • First things first, where do you have WordPress installed?

WordPress is a group of files in folders at the most basic level. The folder structure you are asking about is wordpress/wp-content/themes (for a standard install).

I have custom installed it through my web host DreamHost. When I search my computer for the words “wordpress”, “theme”, and such no results are found. In other words, I do not know where I have word press installed. Any ideas??

    Thanks Nate!

Try looking on your remote server – not your computer.

Where can I find the remote server?

*blink* Where do you host your site?

    I host with DreamHost
    balonmann.com [deleted]

Then your site is hosted on Dreamhost’s servers

You will need to learn how to FTP into your site. Contact DreamHost and ask for instructions.
