Child Theme Templates

  • I am using a child theme so that I can update themes like ‘thematic’ without loosing my changes. But modifying the css is not enough to change the page layout, so I have to use templates. header.php etc… and copy them to the child theme folder

    The problem with this is that whenever the parent theme gets updated, I have to redo all the template files I’ve copied into my child theme. Is there a way around this?
