I tried to find the instructions on how to setup a child theme for the parent theme-Primer. I cannot find anything and there is nothing I can find at GitHub for this theme either.

First, from what I have experienced with other themes, sometimes the theme Developer requires a unique child theme created by them, to work with their main themes and the setup given by www.remarpro.com Developer pages won’t work.

If the first instance does not apply, then the Child Theme setup from www.remarpro.com applies, but those instructions state we have to know if the parent theme loads its style using the function of “get_template” or “get_stylesheet”, where each function results in a different PHP coding configuration.

This all makes creating a Child theme complicated.

Do you have a pre-made Child theme ZIP I can download for the Primer theme?
    or
Do you have instructions you can give a link to on how to setup a child theme specifically for Primer?

    Thanks

I believe I finally located the Child theme for Primer. There seems to be quite a few.

    Here is the link: https://github.com/topics/primer-child-themes

Let me know if I am correct in that link above or if there is another place to get a child theme for Primer.

    Mins Child Theme
It does not work well. It is suppose to have 3 columns support, the page editor shows the settings for 3 columns, but the Widget area does not have any Sidebar modules at all for any sidebar column. They are completely missing.

I decided to try a different child theme listed at the link above.

    Thanks
