• This is my simplify child theme css

    /*
    Theme Name: Simplify Child
    Theme URI: https://demo.d5creation.com/themes/?theme=Simplify
    Description: Child theme for the Simplify theme
    Author: D5 Team
    Author URI: https://example.com
    Template: Simplify
    Version: 1.0
    */

    @import url(“../simplify/style.css”);

    However in my admin area, wordpress tells me that the parent theme is missing & I need to install the parent theme. I’ve already installed the Simplify theme. Is there something wrong with the code? Thank You

  • The Template: line needs to be the same as the folder name where the parent theme is located, and it’s case-sensitive:

    Template: simplify

    I thought the template name was of my choosing since it is a comment, your answer worked
