Child theme not working

    Hello,

    I’m a beginner but have made three child themes for three different sites and they’ve worked fine.

    This one doesn’t seem to be working, have double checked and followed authors github link to no avail.

    Anyone got any solutions for this?

  • Hey Paul,

    The Themer for Hueman has created a style.css for the child theme that will work. You can find it from inside your admin.

    Go to your Theme Options page from the left hand navigation of admin panel. In the upper right you’ll see a little drop down Help menu.

    When you click on this you’ll see some links to the left. You’ll see ‘Download the sample child theme’. This should help you on your way.

    Thanks Dorothy,

    This may be helpful to beginners like me and probably very funny to the more experienced but it seems the reason why my child theme was not working was that I hadn’t included an hyphen ie. ‘hueman-child’ in the directory name in Bluehost’s cpanel. I had simply named it ‘hueman child’.

    May be of help to other novices.
