Child theme not displaying site like parent theme

  • I’m having some trouble working with child themes. The theme I’m working off of is Arras Project AR2.

    I have what I believe is a working child theme setup, the theme name, template and parent css file being linked and it’s showing up correctly as a useable theme. But when I activate it, my site does not look correct at all, theres top navigation bar menus missing, the logo image is missing, random colors are missing.

    Is there anything I’m doing wrong? Is this theme just not compatible when using child themes?

    I bumped a thread on their forums that was created in May with 0 responses.. seems dead over there, was hoping for some luck over here.

    Or maybe someone has another theme similar to Arras that they can recommend?

    The www.remarpro.com support forums are meant for the core application, themes and plugins that are distributed on www.remarpro.com. We do not support themes downloaded from elsewhere.

    Not familiar with Arras, but Suffusion has tons of options including many layouts and excellent support from the developer so that might be worth a look.
