• Hello,

I use latest WordPress 6.0.1 and the theme Twenty Twenty-Two.

In admin panel under tools/File editor for thmes, I added some lines in styles.css.

Will my changes persist after next update?

  • That would override styles when the theme has an update. You can still reach the Customizer to store some CSS by visiting yoursite.com/wp-admin/customize.php, or use a plugin to store any overrides as well.

    Thanks,

With Twenty Twenty-One I got a warning saying I should not edit the theme files but instead create a child theme. With Twenty Twenty-Two I don’t get any warnings. Therefore I thought that any changes maybe would be persistent.

Editing a PHP file is too advanced for me.

A child theme instead of a plugin would still be a solution I guess?
