Are you suggesting to reduce the vertical scale of all the fonts, I should go like?

Not necessarily – I’m not sure what you are trying to do. If you don’t like the “look” of the font, you may need to use another font.

I am trying to keep the font and scale it down vertically! So each letter is the same width, but shorter than the original!

That’s not available in CSS. Web design is very different from print design, and this is one of them. In web design, you got font-family, font-size, line-height, letter-spacing, word-spacing, and that’s pretty much it.

The workaround is to use different font family, choose one that looks close to what you need. This plugin will help using google fonts easier.
