• I’m dominating this support forum LOL.

But really, I created a child theme for obvious reasons but I’m having trouble getting the search icon to work.

    My site is hiphopspeakeasy.com

Which folder(s) do I need to put in my child theme in order to get that search icon back?

    Thanks in advance

  • HipHopSpeakeasy, nice site.

Sorry to hijack here but I was wondering how you got content in your footer of this theme? Are you using a plugin for this?

I’m using Vantage to with a child theme and just trying to figure this one out.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks. If you go to widgets, it should be a section there on the right. If not, you have to manually upgrade your site to Vantage 2.1.2 and it will be there in the widget section. There’s also nice header widget.

    Good luck!

It seems like there are a couple problems with your child themes. I’m not entirely sure what’s going on, but it looks like you’re tripling up on some of the CSS. Ideally you should only add anything to your child theme that you’re actually overwriting.

If you email me a copy of the zip, I’ll check it out – [email protected]

Hi im having the same issue i started using child theme and the search icon disappeared.

Hi i Resolved the issue, it was simple u have to copy the folder images from vantage parent to child in order for the css in your child theme to locate the sprite for the search icon.
