• Hello,

I’m in the process of copying more files into my child theme. I have been going to c-panel and doing it there.

I’m about to copy footer.php into child theme. Do most people go to cpanel to edit their files or is there a plugin to edit in dashboard ?

    Thanks

  • I rather like cPanel’s File Manager. For extensive editting, I prefer doing it on the Desktop, so have tied NotePad++ into FileZilla’s View/Edit option. Or you can just keep a shadow copy of all your files on your own computer, and use FileZilla or other FTP client to move them back and forth to your web server.

I use filezilla and have the same folder structure locally and, the same as jonradio, I edit locally but I use Sublime text
