Child Theme Functionality

  • Hello,

    I’m helping to develop a site which requires a child theme. After switching to the child theme however, the sidebars (added via the Easy Custom Sidebars plugin) all seem to disappear and only a blank space remains.

    I’m using a staging site for troubleshooting and can very easily illustrate the issue by sharing the production vs. staging versions. Please check out these two pages side by side:

    We love your plugin and very much hope we can continue to use it. Do you have any suggestion for how we can get it to work with our child theme?

    Hello again,

    We just discovered that for some reason the widgets got stripped from the sidebars when we activated our child theme. Re-adding the widgets resolved the issue.
