child theme error

  • I’m trying to set up a child theme to ease future development, but I’m getting following error in connection with the recent post extended widget when preview the child theme.

    Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘custom_excerpt_length’ not found or invalid function name in /homepages/28/d299945521/htdocs/clickandbuilds/WordPress/websitehome/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 213

    What is the cause of this error? and how can it be solved?
