Child-theme custom CSS question

    hello,

    I am working with a twentyten child theme, and have been trying to have all content on full width/no side-bar pages to move over to the left more (like on the pages with sidebar), but can’t make the code work. Could someone point me in the right direction please? This is what I have tried, but without success.

    .one-column #content {
    margin: 0 20px;
    width: 100%;
    }
