    Hey.
So speaking generally now, many themes support the new and awesome child theme feature.
However, most themes have their own configuration pages in the admin dashboard.
Now my question is, when I change settings there, where are these changes and settings made?
My point is, when I’m using a child theme, can I also use the configurator to apply changes, without them being discarded/overwritten in the process of updating?

Any ideas or help are welcome!

They are stored against the current theme (child or parent) in your database.

If I understand your question correctly, yes. All theme options are stored on a per-theme basis – even when using child themes.
