    Hello

When I first uploaded WP Twenty Fourteen 4.1 it tends to display with a left sidebar in Firefox but in Explorer the sidebar does not appear.

As I want to do away with the left sidebar I uploaded Child Theme Configerator.

However, in the ‘Live Preview’ a left sidebar does not show but it continues to show in Firefox just like it did prior to my uploading Child T. Configerator.

In WP Appearance my Child Theme is the first theme that shows up and the Parent theme is a row below.

What I like to know is in which theme am I actually working with and can I switch in WP Appearance between Child and Parent if I make an error (I already did a backup as per your video).

Also can you suggest which video illustrates best how to get rid of the right sidebar as I notice the majority of videos make use of WP Extended Plugin.

    Thanks

    layoutscribe,

The active theme will be the first one on the top left and will not have a “Live Preview” option (because it is the active theme). You may be able to accomplish what you want by clicking “customize,” opening the “widgets,” then “content sidebar,” then clicking “Remove.”

In CTC, the Parent themes appear in the first menu, and the Child themes appear in the second menu.

This worked for me. Let me know if I can help further.

I will work on this over the next few couple of day and will let you know if I need any help.
