• Hi there,

I’m trying to get up and running with a child theme using the Klasik Framework, but I seem to be having the same problem as several other people here on the forum: my child theme is nothing like the parent theme.

Although I’ve loaded all of the css files from the parent theme, my child theme’s appearance does not match that of the Klasik theme’s default look. As a result, my featured content slider ends up somewhere in my header and my portfolio layout does not display. It seems like if I wanted to fix this, I’d have to do some gross css positioning (ew).

I’m pretty new to creating child themes, so any help would be appreciated! Anyone else resolve this issue?

  • Hi Laurie_s! I had the exact same issue.
I moved the color.css (wich the klasik theme style.css-file refers to for almost everything) to my child-theme folder wich fixed the issue with the colors.

About the slider I have not been able to resolve that issue. But I’m not using it on my site so for me that’s not a current issue.
