Child Theme

After creating a child theme for Colormag (free) for some reason the header and the menu of the site goes crazy and goes to 100% width without the borders. If I use the regular theme this does not happen. I have no customization in the child theme yet. It is just the 2 files that are required to make it. Any help would be appreciated.
