child-parent relationship broken

  • Hi, I’m actually having the same problem that Slams brought up here:

    I’ve got a parent category “Blog” with a handful of different child categories to keep things tidy for different topics (so I can create custom sub-archive layouts), but the master “Blog” archive won’t include posts in the child categories. Likewise, a wp_query() for posts in the category “Blog” also ignore the child categories, and I had to write an array of categories to workaround it.

    I didn’t figure out what the problem was until I turned off CPTonomies and then it all started working properly. Curious if there was ever a solution found for this?
