I’m having issues with my child pages. Here’s my url sample.org/author/brenda-lewis, the child page is showing 404. Please help me fix it.

    Thank you!

If the author doesn’t have any publicly published posts yet, the author page will be a 404 until they have at least 1.

Thank you. The author has posts publicly published. I tried creating a different parent page with a child page and it worked. What do you think is wrong with sample.org/author/brenda-lewis?

I created another parent page and used the word AUTHORS instead of AUTHOR and the child page is showing. Why is it that when I use the word AUTHOR, the child page would get a 404?

Oh, because /author/ is reserved for WordPress’s author post listings, that’s why I thought you were referring to that.

    Got it. Thanks!
