Child Pages Aren't Working

I set up two parent pages on my website (About Me and Resources) and when I hover over one of them with my mouse the child pages do drop down BUT when I shift my mouse downwards to click on a child page, the drop down disappears. I have no idea why this is happening. Please, I need help!
