I write for Chicago Rants chicagorants.com and looking for similar sites to network with and help eachother build up! Anyone thinking guest-posts and trackbacks? I like your site @ipstenu! Just the kinds of blogs I’m looking for but can’t seem to find.
Right now, it seems like ChicagoNow really holds the market, but I’m not a fan of it and would never move my blog to ChicagoNow.

@ipstenu – I think we met at WCC 2011, I remember the hat.

@chicagoranter – I used to work for the Tribune Company, on most of their WordPress development. We always had a looming possibility of moving ChicagoNow to WordPress. Last I knew, it was on some super special customized installation of MovableType. It was developed specially for the Trib by one of the core developers of MovableType.

I am not a fan of MovableType.

I’m west of Chicago, in Lombard. I’m just learning to run some internet marketing sites with WordPress. I’d love to have a group to meet with occasionally and get support from and offer any that, as a relative newbie, I’d be able to. Would be glad to hear of any meetings coming up in April, May or thereafter. I can be reached at [email address removed]
