Cherry Framework Portfolio slideshow inop with 4.6

  • Since updating to 4.6 cherry framework new portfolio posts only work in image, and video modes. If I select slideshow or grid gallery, it acts like it’s in image mode.

    I have turned off ALL plugins (even the the front page slider), except for the Cherry Plugin which is hardwired on I guess.

    All the posts prior to the update to 4.6 work normally.

    The Little Pinup post has 11 images, selected as slideshow, light box is on

    Have you considered asking at the Cherry Framework site?

    It sounds like the framework may need to be updated and the best place to seek that support is on that site.

    I just did as you suggested.

    When I’ve gone to their site previously, it seemed like the site was for pros, not John Q public. So I was kind of embarrassed to be there, since I don’t any coding at all.

    Anyway, we’ll see what happens.

    Should I leave this thread open, just in case, or close it?

    It doesn’t do any harm to leave this topic open. I suggested that you try that place as this forum is for supporting WordPress, not the Cherry Framework.

    Someone may know something so why not leave this topic as is?

    Got this message today at 10 AM:
    Howdy! Your site at https://dniphotography.com has been updated automatically to WordPress 4.5.4.

    That means it was downgraded from 4.6

    I tried loading images into a slideshow and it worked. So I tried the Lil’ Pinup post and it still would not work. So I deleted the post, made a new one with a different name, and it still failed.

    So I deleted those files from my Media folder, uploaded them again, and now it works.

    My WordPress site says I can update to 4.6.1. But you gotta know I am so paranoid I don’t dare. Not at least until I add some new content while it’s working.

    So I guess this issue is resolved.
