• Does Cherry framework support child themes. I tried to create one using this tutorial
    but i get load of errors when I try to activate it:

    Warning: include_once(/opt/lampp/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/themes/CherryFramework-child/includes/custom-function.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /opt/lampp/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/themes/CherryFramework/functions.php on line 205

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function optionsframework_options() in /opt/lampp/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/themes/CherryFramework/framework_options.php on line 910

    Notice: I only added style.css calling @import url(“../cherryframework/css/style.css”);

    and did not added any templates in child theme folder.

    Same thing works with “twentyfourteen” theme, it loads it OK.
    Any written tutorial about creating and modifying child teme for Cherry framework out there?

  • Hey there Porga, did you ever find an answer to your Cherry Framework questions? I’ve apparently been following in your footsteps and have seen your Q’s on a bunch of forums but haven’t found the solution yet either.

    My errors were identical to yours, and finding any docs on proper Cherry-Child-Themes has been “fruitless” to say the least.

    Or… did you give up and go with a different framework like Genesis – as I’m about to?

    Thanks!
