Checkout uses details from WP User Profile section

Hi, I’m using WP 3.2.1 and WPEC 3.8.5.

Is there a solution yet to tie in WordPress’ User Profiles with the address details etc which are completed when a user checks out?

There’s a Buddypress integration that isn’t compatible with WPEC 3.8.5 and snippets of code from another user, but I can’t believe that such an essential feature isn’t already implemented or part of the core code (or from a paid-for addon/plugin).

I’ve created custom WP user profile forms before (adding address fields etc) as per here, but having looked through the WPEC documentation I’m a little confused as to how I would link that up with the check out info.

I’d be interested to know anyone’s thoughts
