Checkout Response Error
-
During the checkout process in Woocommerce the customer completes the form with their billing details, ticks the terms and conditions checkbox and then selects a payment option. If the customer forgets to enter something into a mandatory checkout form field, the checkout page informs the customer to complete the missing field before proceeding.
When the customer clicks “Place Order” with ZIP as the payment option, the ZIP application displays a popup that says “CHECKOUT RESPONSE ERROR”. This takes focus from the checkout page and waits for the customer to click OK before they can read what field is incomplete on the checkout page. This disrupts the flow of the checkout process, the popup should silently disappear and allow the customer to complete Checkout without having to wait, and then click OK. The whole point of building an online store is to convert sales, this will scare customers off, especially impatient ones and those that don’t understand the message.
The popup shouldn’t appear at all. At the very least the popup could also display a more user friendly message like “Please complete all fields on the checkout page and then you’ll be able to complete the ZIP payment.
