    Hi,

I am currently setting up a new page and using PMPro for the first time.
I installed and activated the plugin, edited the settings and chose the automatic page creation process of PMPro.

Now all sites seem to work – except one. The Checkout Page does not.
When I want to view it as admin, it automatically jumps to the Membership Levels Page. And using an incognito tab for a new user registration, after selecting the level in the levels page, it loads for a long time and then shows a blank page with only my header.

What went wrong in the installation process or did I miss something in the settings?

    Thank you in advance!

    tim

    Hi Tim,

Thank you for using Paid Memberships Pro, I’m really sorry for the issue you are facing here.

When I want to view it as admin, it automatically jumps to the Membership Levels Page.

The admin needs to be checking out for a level, I would recommend in selecting a level from your levels page to view the checkout page. We do have a minor fix that will automatically select a membership level from the admin area to offer a more fluid experience for administrators.

And using an incognito tab for a new user registration, after selecting the level in the levels page, it loads for a long time and then shows a blank page with only my header.

This sounds like something is breaking after the header and could be a couple of things causing this. We will need more information from you to help see what is breaking and why it is breaking. Please can you follow this guide to enable debugging – https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/how-to-enable-debugging-on-you-your-wordpress-site/ and recreate the issue. This will allow you to see what error is happening on the page and find the conflicting code.

What theme are you using? If you are not using the TwentySeventeen theme, would you mind testing checkout with TwentySeventeen temporarily activated?

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you so much for helping me.

I have sorted out the first problem now. The “jumping-back to Membership-Levels” error was down to me not setting a membership level for the button to the checkout page.

However the checkout page itself is still not working.

I have now gone through the debug process, with no results, though. I am getting no debug file.

Currently, I am using the OceanWP theme.
I have tried to change to the TwentySeventeen theme and just for another test to the Memberlite theme. With both, I am getting the same results as previous.

I have now taken another look at the checkout page.
As you have suggested, the problem is arising after the head section. The site has a completely empty body. Solely the outer wrap is created. Again, the loading of the site takes ages(10 seconds).

    Again, Thank you!

Thank you for the feedback Tim and for testing different themes and trying to generate a debug.log

This is strange behavior, does the page have the correct Paid Memberships Pro shortcode? [pmpro_checkout], there was a similar issue I had come across where a user had [pmpro_checkout] in the default WordPress editor, and inside their website page builder (it seemed the page builder didn’t overwrite the default content if there was any previously set). If you are using a page builder, could you please disable it for your checkout page?

Would you mind testing with only Paid Memberships Pro activated?

    Please keep me posted.

    Thanks again for the support.

I am using Elementor as a page builder. So I now tried the checkout page(shortcode is there) with all plugins except PMPro deactivated, but the body is still empty.

    Any ideas?

Thank you for the feedback Tim, we will need to troubleshoot this as I am not 100% sure what could be causing this without taking a look into it further.

Would you mind opening up a support thread on https://www.paidmembershipspro.com

I know Elementor Page Builder does work with Paid Memberships Pro shortcodes.

Is it right that I have to own a Plus Membership for getting support on https://www.paidmembershipspro.com ?

    (@andrewza)

This is correct Tim, you need an active membership level to receive premium support.

Unfortunately with www.remarpro.com support we are only allowed to help you up until a certain point and we are NOT allowed to login to your site or share sensitive credentials like that on these forums.

We are able to assist you further from within our own site and this issue is a site-specific issue which we would need to go through and debug in greater detail.

Thank you for your understanding regarding this.

For clarification have you attempted to disable Elementor Page Builder and confirm there are no Javascript errors or PHP errors.

I tried to view your checkout link again and it seems that Paid Memberships Pro has been disabled.

    Hi Andrew,

I have read this thread and I don’t see it was resolved as Tim did not have a Plus Membership, and even if he did later we don”t know about that as the solution is not showing here.
I am having the same issue, built all from Scratch, followed your instructions and cannot have a Log file created or any error displayed, all looks fine except that the button (Submit and Confirm) is not reacting at all, I tried Paypal, Stripe with the correct config info.
The most important thing that I need it to work is that even the FREE membership which doesn’t require any payment doesn’t submit anything and we cannot register.

I am only using your Plugin and there is something wrong with it that should normally be resolved without going for a Plus membership, it is basic support and we are not talking about any personalization or add ons that can be in the way.
If you have figured out the solution, Kindly let me know or I will have to remove this plugin and go for another, I cannot even consider the Pro if the basic isn’t working, right?
    Thank you

Thanks for the feedback @logicmates. The reason the thread is marked as resolved is due to inactivity (no reply within a week or longer).

I am unable to recreate this issue on my end. Would you mind opening up a new support thread with your issue so we may help you troubleshoot this?

These types of issues are usually site-specific as there is not a lot of support threads about this particular issue are coming up.

I do understand the frustration caused and the hesitation to upgrade to the Pro version. I would feel the same way if it wasn’t working for me.

Thank you for your patience and understanding, I will keep an eye out for your new thread.

    Hi Andrew,
I have disabled ALL plugins but it didn’t work, so I deleted the PMP plugin and install it back then the checkout button worked!
I will keep on trying and activating the plugins one by one to see if any will prevent it from working.
When this will happen, I will open a new case. Thank you for now.

    Hi Andrew and Ron,

Same issue after try SandBox (Stripe) mode in local-dev environnement (LocalByFlyWheel) -> blank page after click on “sign-up” button in a plan.
I see on your Forum, there is a JavaScript bug or something… maybe caused by another plugin.

I would like inform that I’m trying your plug-in in WordPress/WooCommerce environnement (Stipe Gateway enabled). Maybe it could be help.

Anyway I find your plugin pretty complex, too much addons and premium support access to achieve basic scenario.

I’ll probably keep GravityForms to basic Plans creation and user activation.

    Best regards
