Checkout on Single Product failing

    Hi,

    I have had to disable “Checkout on Single Product” because it wasn’t working but PayPal Checkout is OK when a product is added to the basket and then the PayPal button is clicked from the checkout page.

    When enabled in single product pages and the PayPal button is clicked a PayPal window pops up and then immediately closes down.

  • Can you enable it momentarily so the console can be checked for errors.

    Oddly enough – it seems OK now? Now I really am confused!

    Worked fine for me. Took me to my PayPal account. Had to be careful to not make a purchase. Using Chrome latest.

    PayPal on the product page is not so far as I know part of the core WooCommerce plugin. Presumably it is coming from another plugin. Which one are you using?

    Did you try as a not-logged-in user?

    Which browser are you using?

    See how you go and come back if it stops working.

    For me, when I select the Paypal button, it shows the Paypal login screen. Here’s what I see:

    If that doesn’t happen for you, can you try it in a different browser (and/or in an incognito/private session) to see if that makes any difference?

    1. It is not part of the core WC plugin but is installed at the same time as WC. It is a WC plugin – WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Gateway.v1.16.23.

    2. I’ve now tested in three browsers and it’s working.

    3. All OK at this end but none the wiser as to why it stopped working.

    That may be. Please make sure that you disable caching on checkout, cart and my account pages as explained here – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/configuring-caching-plugins/

    I’m going to go ahead and resolve the ticket for now. Please post again if you need further help.

    Caching is definitely disabled for those pages.

    Have been and the decision was made to permanently remove the PayPal button from the single product page and force customers to use the basket.
