Hi Guys,

I need help please. I need assistance as every time I go to my checkout page it keeps adding the same product to the cart and I dont want it to do that. Here’s my setup.

I have a site on Kajabi, https://www.majedphotos.net/, so when you click on the button(url link: https://majedphotos.com/cms/checkout/?add-to-cart=5444) to purchase, it directs you to the woocommerce site where my product is. And my client wanted to skip the added to cart page and go straight to the checkout page. But the problem is when you refresh the page https://majedphotos.com/cms/checkout/?add-to-cart=5444 it keeps adding a product. Is there a way to stop it from doing that where it doesnt do that. As this is really a one time purchase and dont see the clients buy another one of these products as its a online course.

Just a note incase you are wondering why I dont just host it on kajabi is…that my clients payment gateway isnt supported on Kajabi, so this was the only way of doing this. Hope someone can assist me please

The link https://majedphotos.com/cms/checkout/?add-to-cart=5444 is a specific URL that adds the item with the product ID 5444 to the cart. It’s expected behaviour that if you keep refreshing that URL, that the product gets added with every refresh. Instead of calling https://majedphotos.com/cms/checkout/?add-to-cart=5444, you should call the URL https://majedphotos.com/cms/checkout/ to open your checkout page.

Hi Niels,

Thanks for your response. The problem of sending it straight to the checkout page is it shows that the pages is empty.

That’s the reason why I added the 5444 which is the product straight to cart because he didnt want it to go to the product page, he wanted it to go straight to cart.

Is there a workaround for this? Or perhaps something I can add in the code?

Hello @kodbend1,

You could activate the Add to Cart Redirect. As soon as someone uses the link https://majedphotos.com/cms/checkout/?add-to-cart=5444, the product will be added to the cart and the request gets redirected to https://majedphotos.com/cms/cart/. Refreshing the page will not increase the quantity of the added item. Would this be an option for you?
