    The cart on my site is not functioning correctly.

    1. View cart icon is not visible when browsing the site
    2. When items are added to the cart, there is no way to checkout
    3. A Google pay button only shows of on items with an option for immediate payment (no cart) Like this one: https://marnimutrux.com/product/art-nouveau-hibiscus/.

    I have done the following to try and fix this issue:

    1. Disabled plugins one by one
    2. Updated plugins
    3. Updated template versions that were out of date: bridge/woocommerce/cart/cart-shipping.php bridge/woocommerce/cart/cart.php bridge/woocommerce/global/quantity-input.php
    4. Checked settings and made sure all was connected. I have Paypal and Woocommerce set up and enabled but neither show.
    5. Updated WordPress version.
    6. I changed the theme from bridge – and the cart works. What is my next step in figuring out what the issue is? I want to continue using the same theme.

  • Your theme bridge is at version 28.8 but the current version is 29.6. That’s a lot of fixes. See the changelog:

    You’ll need to update to the current version. That may or may not help with your current issues, but its unlikely that anyone will want to help if you are running an outdated theme. No one wants to fix errors that have already been fixed.

    I note you have updated the template versions that were out of date, but are there any calls or code in other files that needs to be updated to be compatible with the updated templates? The only way to be sure is to update the theme. That will include both the updated templates and any necessary updates to other code.

    The cart page is showing lots of errors relating to insecure fonts. That’s why the cart icon isn’t showing. www.remarpro.com forum members don’t have access to your theme or how its setup. You’ll need to look at the bridge dcoumentation to see how to load fonts over https. In the event of difficulty with that, you’ll need help from bridge support. Its unlikely they will help if you have an old version of the theme.

    The page is also showing a jQuery function being used before jQuery is loaded, so that bit won’t work. Its coming from one of your plugins. You’ll need to load jQuery earlier in the page or load the jQuery functions later, after jQuery is loaded.

    There are some other errors in the page related to Google Pay. These errors may be due to the mentioned jQuery not loaded error. You won’t know until that’s fixed.

    Your site needs a lot of techy work to sort these problems. Start with a theme update, but going forward you may need skills or may have to get a developer on board.

    Thanks for taking a look. This is a relatively new site so it’s a bit frustrating having so many issues. I’ll update the theme an see if that fixes the cart issue.

    I updated the theme and the checkout issue was resolved. Thank you for your help. Now to address the other issues. I don’t have many developer skills but will try to make my way through as best I can.

    Glad to hear Lorro’s suggestion worked!

    When items are added to the cart, there is no way to checkout

    I tried adding a product to the cart and was able to checkout with no problem.

    Am I missing something?

    Could you please attach a copy of your system status report? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.
