Checkout forms not displaying correctly in theme.

Hi, Hopefully someone can help me, I am using a free theme called artistry I have managed to get around some simple issues but now I have a problem on one of the most important pages, the checkout page. Basically to reproduce the error you have to add something to your cart then go to checkout and on the customer billing info screen the form fields don’t display correctly, I assume this is something to do with CSS but I am a complete novice and only managed to deduce that there is a class called col-1 and col-2 that if I remove them in the chrome inspect window the form displays so it is readable although still not aesthetically pleasing this would do. Thing is I don’t know how to override that “for real” so to speak. Can someone please help I’ve spent a long time googling and searching these forums but cannot find the answer.
