When you enter wrong card details for example, the error says “Something went wrong. Please contact us to get assistance.”
But in the backend of woocommerce I can see CVC code was entered wrong.

How can this information be relayed to the customer?

How can this information be relayed to the customer?

WooCommerce Payments will use the standard decline codes based on the scenario so I tried to replicate this using a test card.

When testing WooCommerce Payments on our test store, I used a test card that will generate that specific error code – https://stripe.com/docs/testing#cards-responses Charge is declined with an incorrect_cvc code., the card ending 0127.

The log file then shows 2021-08-24T12:35:44+00:00 ERROR Your card's security code is incorrect. (incorrect_cvc)

On the front-end this presented an error to me: Error: Your card’s security code is incorrect..

If your site is generating a generic message such as this, it could be that something on your site is conflicting with the correct error messge.

Do you have debug mode enabled under the Advanced settings? https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/payments/#section-14

If you do, you can search for the Failed order number, and just below this will be the error message with details.

Do also confirm if no order is created!
