I sell mostly digital products so don’t need (or want) to know people’s addresses. I’ve used the filter options to hide those fields.

But for physical products, the fields show up as intended.

    So far, so good.

But when someone goes to pay, they get an error message (testing this with my own address, since I’m in Australia).

    • Billing Street address is not valid. Please enter one of the following: Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, Western Australia
    • Billing Town / City is not valid. Please enter one of the following: Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, Western Australia

Note that both errors mention *states* and neither “Billing Street address” or “billing town/city” is a state.

Somehow the street and town address options become confuddled with the “state” field.

It happens with both paypal and stripe. The issue goes away when I disable the plugin. But I don’t want to do that long-term because buyers of digital products don’t like being asked for their address.
