    Hi,

When checking out as a guest in WooCommerce and selecting the subscribe newsletter box for Mailchimp, why does it only add the user as transactional emails only? I would have thought that they’ve agreed to receive emails and that all should be fine.

Any help on this would be great.

    Thanks.

@bclaim are you by chance using the double opt in on your list? Are you seeing that every single guest checkout – even the brand new emails are still being set to transactional? That’s not the way the plugin should be working – so I’m wondering if there’s anything else at play here that might be causing this.

    Thanks for your reply.

We initially were not using double opt-in and it would still happen.

However, we are using it now but there is an issue. Every time the plugin syncs to Mailchimp, it overrides (essentially disables) the double opt-in options without any notice. We would like to use the double opt-in as we believe it is an important feature.

@bclaim the double opt in issue has been resolved as of this latest release 2.4.1. You can use this feature now without trouble ??

Also – the issue of transactional is resolved as well in this release. They were both related to the double opt in and this got looked at extensively this last week in QA.

    Hello Ryan,
I also have the problem that my customers have marked the optin field at checkout, but they are not subscribed in Mailchimp.
I have the latest 2.4.1 version of this plugin. What is the solution for this issue?
    Regards,
    Vincent
