Checkbox won't show up before submit button

  • Dear readers,

    Since I upgraded to the latest version of WordPress, I can’t find the comment-form back. I’ve read lots of documentation here about the new way of calling that form, but I’m still not able to fix my problem.

    I have installed the plugin “Newsletter Sign Up”, which gives me a checkbox to subscribe to Aweber. For some reason I am unable to place that checkbox before the submit-button. It keeps showing up after the button, which does not look professional.

    Hopefully someone here is kind enough to help me out.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    First of all, I deeply apologize for ‘bumping’. But I can’t find a way to remove my post.

    Unfortunately, it does work with Twenty Eleven. Is there any way to fix the problem for the theme I’m using? Which is, by the way, zeeBizzCard 1.0.2. Thanks in advance.

    Looks like you may need to amend the theme’s CSS to cope with your newsletter checkbox. Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS work.

    Also keep in mind that if you do need to make CSS changes, that you should really create a child theme for your customisations.
