checkbox revisions lost

    checkbox revisions not found in screenoptions.
    still/again/since a few years this problem does not seem solved when i read the forum, got the problem right now myself. saw topic same issue of 4 years ago.
    is this impossible to solve and just being possible that the checkbox-item is restored by many many steps (that are not that easy or take the site offline since have to reset all plugins as what I red how to solve) with risk of not helping out either?
    helP? somebody got an easy solution in the meantime? thanks.
