@granatdesign @wiseupmarketing I’m not sure if this is related – but I do see a similarity between your questions and the type of site you’re running so I wanted to reference it here too.

I wonder if you’re both using the same theme, or engine that might be related to “events” and the checkout code needing to be updated to support the default WooCommerce checkout hooks?

To sum this up, we offer a “hook” that should be rendering the checkbox in your checkout form, and you’re able to set this to ANY custom function name in our plugin. You might just need to simply ask the theme developer “which hook can we use” to render this under the email box.

I’ll be glad to help out, let’s get you all squared up!

We are using this plugin too

    Could that cause issues?

@wiseupmarketing @granatdesign We are not familiar with this plugin, but I think that we can generalize the solution for you by saying this below:

As long as you are able to add a checkbox field on your checkout page (anywhere), with the name of mailchimp_woocommerce_newsletter that’s really all you need to do for our plugin to accept the email marketing feature.

Keep in mind that if you’re using the GDPR fields of Mailchimp, you will have to implement them as well manually. We are rendering out the checkbox for you, along with the GDPR fields but if your plugin is preventing this hook from being run, unfortunately our hands are tied, and will be forcing you to implement something manually. If you need any help please feel free to ask, but that’s the solution… a manual edit of sorts.

    Hope this helps!
