    Hi,

I noticed that some function changed automatically, maybe after updating to the latest version?

On the order page, the checkbox “Click here to receive an invitation from CusRev (an independent third party organization) to review your order” appears at the bottom.

How to pay it off? that is, he wants the email to be sent with the invitation to evaluate the product without giving this consent.

I really want this feature to be always active and not require consent. A few days ago it worked like that, I thought that the new update changed something but even after the rollback it doesn’t work again. What happened?

    thanks in advance
    Adrian

Cron seems to be working correctly, as I wrote, even if i set “send email after 7 days” and click on it manually in woocommerce -> orders -> email icon it is sending immediately. The only problem is if i try to click manually from Reviews -> reminders.

I use wp cron for other plugins like generating xml for google feed and its working correctly

I installed WP Crontrol plugin – here is exported data from it.
    https://easyupload.io/vjn28t

I’m afraid I don’t see anything related to cusrev in the list. what in this situation?
    Can you check?

    UPDATE:
    – i made test order with 1 day delay
    – i see that 1 cron action has been added to cron scheduled list – previously it was 49, now its 50. https://easyupload.io/df86xu

Next to the test order, there was also information that sending a reminder is scheduled for tomorrow.

However, the problem still remains with the Reviews -> reminders section. When i click here nothing is happening.
Please take a look: https://ibb.co/0hZ654r – when i click on WYSLIJ TERAZ (send now) nothing is happening.
When i click on email icon next to wordpress order list – it is sent immediately

This functionality is important for me because sometimes i send email after 3-4 days (not only after 7 days which was standard for last 2 years)

The plugin is not using WP Cron for the manual sending of reminders from the “Orders” page in WooCommerce. Hence, it is working for you on the “Orders” page.

It is great that you have installed the ‘WP Crontrol’. Could please share two screenshots of the cron tasks in ‘WP Crontrol’:

    1. Before you click on the “Send now” button
    2. After you click on the “Send now” button

Please temporarily switch the language to English when taking the screenshots.

@cometto No, it is not OK. If @pistachio6321 accepts that then they will be banned from this site and the plugin may be removed from www.remarpro.com. It is that serious.

@pistachio6321 Please confirm you read this message and will not accept access to any forum user site that way. Do that in reply here.

    @cometto I archived your reply.

Had the developer asked for that, and they never did ask for that, then this would be the reply to them.

    —-

While I know you have the best of intentions, it’s forum policy that you not ask users for admin or server access. Users on the forums aren’t your customers, they’re your open source collaborators, and requesting that kind of access can put you and them at high risk.

If they are paying customers (such as people who bought a premium service/product from you) then by all means, direct them to your official customer support system. But in all other cases, you need to help them here on the forums.

Thankfully are other ways to get information you need:

    You get the idea.

We know volunteer support is not easy, and this guideline can feel needlessly restrictive. It’s actually there to protect you as much as end users. Should their site be hacked or have any issues after you accessed it, you could be held legally liable for damages. In addition, it’s difficult for end users to know the difference between helpful developers and people with malicious intentions. Because of that, we rely on plugin developers and long-standing volunteers (like you) to help us and uphold this particular guideline.

When you help users here and in public, you also help the next person with the same problem. They’ll be able to read the debugging and solution and educate themselves. That’s how we get the next generation of developers.

    —-

Your offering them that access via the ticket system is the problem. You are not their customer, you never were their customer.

At best you are an opensource collaborator trying to improve the free, supported by an unpaid volunteer on their own time.

@pistachio6321 did nothing wrong but they need to reply that they will not accept that admin offer. As I wrote, it is that serious.

@jdembowski i will not grant them any access, please do not threat them because they didnt do anything wrong. i also didnt know that its something wrong.

Thanks for that reply and I am sure the developer will also reply well.

While I do not want to frighten anyone (truly) it is serious. That prohibition is not just to protect users, it is also there to protect developers as well.

No developer ever wants to ask themselves or their teammates “Do we even have liability insurance??” and accepting an offer like that has gone very badly for them too.

As can be seen from the messages above, I never asked for access credentials. I’m aware of the forum policies and do not ask for or accept offers with login credentials.
