checkbox first event not working

in the My Calendar Shortcode Generator
the checkbox: Show only the first recurring event in a series
seems to have no effect on the generated shortcode.
checked or unchecked, it produces the same shortcode.
What code is this checkbox supposed to add to the generated shortcode?
