I have two separate issues with this plugin.

    First problem:

I have my WooCommerce settings set up to have a checkbox at checkout so buyers can opt in to receive marketing emails. This data is not passed through to ConvertKit. It sends their name, email and product purchased, but I have no idea if they consented to emails.

    Second problem:
I have a long list of products I never sell and the buyers of these products are no longer on my email list. I want to delete these products from ConvertKit but there isn’t a way to do this.

In both instances I have contacted ConvertKit about the problem and been told this is a WooCommerce problem and therefore they cannot do anything about it.

Can anyone help? I can’t believe that I am the only person to ever ask about this, particularly the first issue which means I am unable to stay GDPR compliant as I do not know who consented and who didn’t.

If anyone can offer solutions to these problems I would be very grateful.

    UPDATE:
I have found where WooCommerce stores the data regarding whether or not the checkbox was ticked. ConvertKit have confirmed that this data is not being pulled through.

For anyone looking for the data, if you go into orders on WooCommerce and look in the Custom fields, it’s in there. I am now manually updating all my subscribers until there’s a fix, which I’m not holding my breath for.

I am tagging you because you are named as developers for this plugin. Is it possible to get some support for my problem please?

I would really appreciate it if someone could have a look.
    Thank you

@merrick456 Unless it’s spam, abuse or something broken in the forums please do not report topics again.

It is not a means to get faster support, it only gets forum moderators attention and no one else.

Are you reporting yourself as a spammer who needs to be banned from this site? I’m pretty sure you are not.

Also please lay off the notification abuse. Those three people are volunteers; everyone here is. They do not owe you a thing, not support or even a reply. I get that you need help but in many places (at least the U.S.) today is a holiday.

Hi Jan, I can only apologise absolutely and sincerely. I had no idea I had done something wrong. I wasn’t really sure what to do, I have been Googling about how to find help with WooCommerce plugins and when I saw the names of people who had worked on the app it seemed like a good idea to make contact and alert them to a potential problem.

As far as I know, I have not reported a topic. Is that what it means when you write ‘modlook’ in the tags? I saw it on an article I found while searching for how to get help. I can see now that it’s a way of alerting mods to potential problems, I honestly didn’t know.

I’ve not used these forums before and I’m learning. I’ve made a mistake and I really do apologise.

As for the notification abuse, I didn’t know that was a thing. I thought the people who work on the apps did it as their job. I would happily pay for some help on this. I have never expected anything for free. I thought I had made a polite request for help to the correct people. If tagging people in relevant posts is wrong, then not a problem, I’ll know this for future. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

I’m not in the US and so it’s just a regular work day for me here, but I wish you a happy holiday and I apologise for causing you extra work here today.

    Plugin Author Kit

    (@convertkit)

    First problem:
    – If the customer opts in to receive marketing emails, with the ‘Purchase Data’ option enabled, they will be assigned to Form(s), Tag(s) and/or Sequence(s), based on the configuration at Plugin and Product level.
    – If the customer does not opt in to receive marketing emails, with the ‘Purchase Data’ option enabled, they will not be assigned to any Forms, Tags or Sequences.

As such, in ConvertKit, you can segment by Form(s), Tag(s) and/or Sequence(s) to determine which customers opted in, and which customers did not opt in. Remember, customers who did not opt in will not have any Form(s), Tag(s) or Sequence(s) assigned to them by the Plugin.

    Second problem:
If you are referring to the list of Products displayed in ConvertKit’s Purchase data (https://app.convertkit.com/subscribers > Purchases), these cannot be removed by the Plugin. At the time of writing, there is no API option to remove these that the Plugin could use, and therefore you’re best reaching out to our support (https://convertkit.com/support) to resolve accordingly.

    Thanks.
