Check for voting conditions

Hello,

I have a buddypress installation that uses this plugin https://github.com/r-a-y/buddypress-followers

How can I check for condition if a user submits a 5 star vote.

What im trying to achieve is

If a user submits a 5 star vote on a post then the logged in reader/user should automatically follow the post author.
