    Using the Thesis Theme 2.2.3

  • Hi, thanks for trying my plugin!

Can you share a link to your site so I can see what’s not working exactly and maybe see what the issue could be? If possible, create a user account (subscriber level), or else I wouldn’t see the admin bar.

    Thanks! ??

I fixed it for you….. if you want to see my edits….just search for ‘benedict_edit’.

I basically added an alternate option, that works with Thesis Theme. I suspect it will work on other problematic themes also. Only one file edited: ‘sticky-menu-or-anything.php’

It basically adds ’32’ to any value in ‘sa_topspace’ if the user is logged in as admin.
32 is the height of the WordPress Admin bar.

    cheers

So it’s a little unclear for me why it’s not working for you. I’ve never seen any problems with this functionality to be honest.

Normally, I don’t recommend editing the plugin yourself. Mainly because your changes will be overwritten if/when you update, but in your case more specifically, because the value of 32 you added works on desktop screens, but not on mobile (I believe it’s 60 pixels on smaller screens).

Having said that…..if your solution works for you and you’re happy with it, then great, and there’s no need to further dive into it. ??

if you get the time, try to test it on Thesis….I did tests with your orginal version with other themes and it worked, but not on Thesis…no idea why

I will have the link up for 24 hours…..test it with this theme

Sorry, but I don’t have a copy of the Thesis theme — it’s a commercial theme as you know, and so it’s not possible for me to download/install it on my test site to replicate the issue. I did ask them for a copy a while ago so I could do testing and make sure that my plugin would be compatible with the theme (and make any fixes if necessary) but I never had a response.

I don’t really feel comfortable downloading/installing an .EXE file from the Mega site (and if this a copy of the Thesis theme, it’s not really allowed to distribute it).

So unfortunately, I’m not really able to replicate the issue on my own system at the moment. If there is a site where this issue occurs where I can see the problem, I’d be happy to take a look at it of course.
