Honestly, I can’t think of a situation that would have a taxonomy be a radio button selection over checkboxes, outside of a custom callback being used for the metabox. By default if the taxonomy is hierarchical, it’ll get the checkboxes. Non-hierarchical get the input that you can type comma-separated tags into. I know we haven’t added anything to the core plugin that’d make this type of switch.

    Hi Michael, Thanks for replying.

I’ve inherited the site from someone who used to work here and he was a bit more technical than me so it is possible he’s done some sort of custom callback. Is there somewhere a custom callback might be?

I’ve noticed on my development site, which is running older versions of wordpress and the plugin, the taxonomy list is check boxes but on the most used tab they’re radio buttons. Does that mean anything to you?

If there’s any custom callback specified via our settings, I have to believe it’d be shown in the “Registered Types and Taxonomies” section, and you could then look for a function with that matching callback name and go from there. If the callback is injected some other way, then I’m not going to be of much use in finding it ??

I’ve just found another plugin called Radio Buttons for Taxonomies that seems to have started supporting custom taxonomies when it’s updated so that was the culprit.

    Thanks for your help anyway.

That’d do it, glad you got things figured out.
