After updating WordPress to 4.7 no user but the original administrator can login. The infamous “Cheatin’ uh? Sorry, you are not allowed to access this site.” error shows for every other user.

When I de-activate Adminimize (v. 1.11.2 – other plugins are up-to-date as well) all users can log in without problems.

Re-installing WP 4.7, de-activating and activating the Adminimize plugin, changing user password, creating a new user (different roles) did not solve this.

    Anything else I can try?

I found some other threads on this – somehow they didn’t show up when I searched before – and after checking the “Allow Page Access” checkbox users now can login again. Strange…

This feature is new. Before was it only a hide of pages, now is the access of this pages also on check. If you hie a page for a role, the access is also prevent. But you can deactivate this feature with this plugin option ‘Allow Page Access’.

    Ah, OK!
    Thanks for clarifying this.
