• I have a multi-site installation and WordPress Chat by Chatwee (ver 1.9.1) installed on one site.
At the top of the admin panel for that site, it’s showing this error message:

    Chatwee Plugin SSO error:
Invalid login. After fixing this problem, please re-login.

This error seems to come and go and I don’t know what I need to do to fix it. Chatwee works on the page I’ve set it up on – even with the error.

The only problem I’m having is that new members are showing up as Guest users instead of using their WP login info (I do have Enable SSO login and Login for all subdomains selected as well as the proper ChatID and Chatwee API Key entered. Usernames Display format is set to “Display Name in WP”) Is this related to the error?

What do I need to do to get rid of the error message?

The username showing Guest does appear to be related to the SSO Error. What I’m seeing is that members who are automatically logged into WordPress with a cookie when they start a new session (versus actively logging in) seems to confuse Chatwee and thus the error message is displayed and if they go into the chat they’ll show up as a Guest.

If they logout and log back in that seems to resolve the problem.

Is there a way this can be corrected so if they’re logged into wordpress, chatwee correctly grabs their display name for the chat (without making them logout and log back in again?)
