Chatbox compatibility with the Facebook mobile browser

  • Our client has been a longtime subscriber to Five 9 services for their other businesses and deploying chat appeared to be the right solution given the pre-existing relationship. Our team built the client’s new site on wordpress and used the five 9 wordpress plugin to deploy the chatbox on the site.

    The chatbox works well across all screen sizes and devices across most commonly used browsers( Chrome, Firefox, Safari).

    Our challenge is with the Facebook mobile browser which appears to block “pop-up windows” thus preventing the usage of the feature where we receive the majority of our paid mobile traffic.

    My questions is regarding if this is a known issue, and if there are any known workarounds.
