chat_height Shortcode Not Working

I don’t know if it is something specifically to do with my theme or perhaps a conflicting plugin, but when I create a page, insert the example shortcode from the installation instructions, edit the chat_height parameter and post it, the chat height never exceeds what looks to be the 200px that is set in the settings page.
