I have heard that chat widgets are quite easy for hackers to hijack.
So how does that work, do hackers get into the dashboard and change the code?
If this is so, then can you tell by looking at the code that it has been altered?
    many thanks for your replies.

Hi @magicmike8710, thank you for writing in!

In Tidio we care about our customers security. Hacker would need to know your login information to Tidio – your email address and password. There is no other possibility for them to hijack your account.
If you suspect that someone has access to your account as they stole your login credentials – you can always contact us and we’ll check it and do our best to help you.

I’ll be here in case of any further questions!

    Thanks for your reply.
If someone had succeeded in logging in to my account, would there be evidence, such as some code that has been changed?
Could I look at the code snippet for the tidio plugin and see the hacker’s changed code?

    Hi there,

There wouldn’t be evidence of a code changed. To change the code the hacker would have to log into your WordPress account.

The code installing Tiido can be found inside the Settings> Live Chat> Integration section of your Tidio panel.
